FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - ANN ARBOR, MI - March 8, 2004 - Ann Arbor based Vendor Managed Technologies, Inc. (VMT) announced that it doubled its sales of Velocity® software in 2003 . Velocity is a robust, off-the-shelf data warehouse software that helps CPG (consumer packaged goods) manufacturers manage store-level POS (point-of-sale) and inventory data they receive from retail channels.
Velocity also integrates POS and inventory data with syndicated data, demographics, shipments, planograms, and other critical data sources to help retail suppliers manage their products' performance from shipment to consumer purchase.

Using Velocity, VMT clients have seen sales increase as high as 116 percent. With Velocity exception reporting, VMT clients can easily and quickly identify where they may have a potential out-of-stock situation and then take immediate action to get it fixed. Sales teams are also able to get automated sell-through reports without having to beg buyers, customer service or IT for specific reports.
In 2003, VMT signed a variety of new CPG clients including Newell Rubbermaid, Chattem, Dial, First Alert, Briggs & Stratton, MGA Entertainment, Masco, and Sanford. All of these new clients are using Velocity software to maximize the POS information they receive from retailers.
